CW laser optics – let's ride the continuous wave and test the limits.

With a CW LIDT of more than 86 MW/cm² (irradiance), and >634 kW/cm (linear power density), we have pushed an IBS sputtered laser mirror at 1070 nm to the max, using a R(30s)-on-1 test procedure as shown in the details. The samples reached the maximum available irradiance limit without being damaged.

Optics up to diam. 550mm can be coated using our ion beam sputtering technology, providing lowest losses and high thermal conductivity.
