Home of high power optics and coatings

LASEROPTIK is a manufacturer of high LIDT laser optics and coatings from VUV to IR and employs more than 40 coating machines with 6 different coating methods, e.g. magnetron and ion beam sputtering. Products include mirrors, partial reflectors, AR coatings, thin film polarizers, complex filters, chirped mirrors and mirror pairs. Special IBS capabilities are available for coatings on large substrates. We mainly produce for industry, medical technology and scientific research.

Substrates

Coating of large optics

Special capabilities are available for coatings on large substrates, with IBS for up to 2 m in length or 550 mm in diameter.

Dispersive coatings

Chirped mirrors and matched pairs are offered as well as all kinds of GDD optimized coatings needed for ultrafast laser applications.

What is the production capacity of LASEROPTIK?

On average about 180,000 optics can be coated per year.

For which wavelengths does LASEROPTIK offer optics and coatings?

LASEROPTIK offers high power optics and coatings in a broad spectral range from DUV (120 nm) to FIR (10.6 µm) for AR and 120 nm to 4 µm for HR coatings.

Coatings can be specified across this range depending on the wavelength, substrate, laser type and application requirements. For a specific wavelength, customers can check LOOP or send a direct request.

For which types of lasers can LASEROPTIK offer optics and coatings?

LASEROPTIK can offer optics and coatings for every kind of laser, like excimer, diode, dye, gas-discharge, gas-ion, fiber, semiconductor, solid-state lasers and others.

How many coatings can LASEROPTIK offer?

With more than 130 different coatings on our website and in the catalogue, we can give only a small selection of our possibilities. In the LASEROPTIK Online Portal LOOP more than 1,200 different coatings are shown to get an even better overview.

However, we have many more coatings available in our data system, currently over 28,000. If we cannot find the perfect design here, of course we will optimize the coating specifically for your application!

I need coatings on large optics, can LASEROPTIK offer this?

Seven of our more than forty machines are optimized for larger substrates (about > Ø 220 mm).

LASEROPTIK uses dedicated equipment for dielectric coatings on large optics up to 2 m in length or 550 mm in diameter with a superior spectral uniformity over the complete surface and high LIDT values. Approved automated ultrasonic and manual cleaning procedures guarantee optimum cleanliness even on these large-scale geometries.
