The world‘s leading show for photonic technologies was a cool event for us. LASEROPTIK GmbH has won another LIDT contest (0.4 J/cm² @ HR 343 nm, 1ps) and our CEO had a talk about the latest research on IBS coatings for large petawatt optics. Our ice cream cart with flavors from UV to IR helped to stay cool even when the booth was crowded again.

UV rocks! LASEROPTIK is proud to be the winner of the LIDT contest from HILASE Centre. Our samples reached 0.4 J/cm² @ HR 343 nm / 0°, 1 ps, 10⁵ pulses and assured another competition won. Thanks to Jan Vanda and team at Hilase. Let's see what's next.
 
Apart from that, our boss Dr. Wolfgang Ebert had a talk about our research with our partner ELI Prague. The LIDT of large beam transport mirrors coated by IBS has been the topic. At the same time our related paper was published in Photonics Views, the tradefair’s edition: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/phvs.202200016
 
Every day of the show, we served our visiting customers and even more guests delicious Italian ice cream from our LASEROPTIK ice cream cart. It was cool to see, that sorting the flavors by common laser wavelengths lightens up many photonic people’s day.
